Reminders and Links to Anthologies

First off, today is the last day to enter to win a copy of Aubrie Dionne's A Hero Rising. Please read Saturday's interview and enter to win!

Please pop on over to A Twist of Noir and check out my short story. I'd love to hear what you think.

I'm on track with my short stories this year. I had my noir story accepted, and I just got an acceptance for another of my stories that I submitted last year. It's a scary fish story entitled "A Ticket on the Train," and it's to appear in the anthology, OCEAN STORIES. I submitted my Steampunk Cthulhu story this week. Now I must consider what to write for March.

(Oh! I have an older short story I can shorten and send here.)

On the novel front, my revisions are slowly coming along. I hope to have the first round done by the end of March. I can't believe how much I'm deleting and rewriting. I'm sure it's only my imagination, but revisions physically hurt!

    1. Thank you! Aw, that would have been cool to be in the anthology together. Yet I see sometimes we submit to the same places. Perhaps one time we'll get into the same one! :) Keep writing.

  8. Congratulations on your progress and acceptances! Revision really is painful. I saw that Wild West anthology the other day and am looking forward to trying it out! I'm glad you posted it, because I had completely forgotten it.

    1. Thanks! Revisions are rough. I know I need to just get through this first run-through. The second round of revisions can't be as bad as the first... I hope.

  11. Really liked your story on the Noir. Congrats on those acceptances. Might try Cherie challenge...its really difficult for me to write a story specifically for a western audience, something will always stand out like a sore thumb.

    1. Thanks! I have a bit of trouble with westerns trying to be historically accurate, but I like the atmosphere. I'm leaning toward the Cherie anthology too.

    1. I'm trying to think of something clever to write for Cherie's Challenge anthology. Just for having a character named Cherie! ;)

  13. Congrats for the acceptances!! You just want to do the Cherie challenge because I'm named Cherie. *winks*

Revisions can be very painful. Sometimes I keep only a word or two from my first novel. Other times, I keep most of a page. It just depends. I always feel like my manuscript is bleeding.

    1. That's exactly why I want to do the Cherie one! Hehehe! Wow, yes, that's it. The manuscript is bleeding. Magena hates me at the moment, but she'll hopefully appreciate me for it in the end.
